The Kobo is one of the many electronic eBook readers in the market. Kobo Inc. is a Toronto-based company that is owned by the Indigo Books & Music. Kobo readers were first released in May of the year 2010. Kobo e-readers are being sold in countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Australia and in the United States. There are two kinds of Kobo reader. First is the Original Kobo e-reader which comes with an expandable memory up to 4GB, and the Kobo Wireless eReader that was launched in the 15th of October 2010. The original can only support up to 4GB of files, however the Kobo Wireless can carry up to 10,000 books with up to 32GB of memory expansion. The wireless version of Kobo is basically an improvement of the original design. Some improvements include the battery life and a built-in dictionary.

While the Kobo original is preloaded with 100 public domain classic books, the Kobo Wireless comes with 100 preloaded classic novels. Both Kobo designs support English only.
